Billing & Refunds Policy

1. Pricing

The current price of every plan is published on our pricing page and shown again at checkout before you pay. What you see at checkout is what you are charged - there are no setup fees, no per-signature fees and no charges we have not shown you first.

• Free - three documents a month at no cost, with no card required and no time limit.
• Personal - a single-user subscription, billed monthly or annually.
• Business - a team workspace sold in user packs. Your pack sets the maximum number of seats; you can move to a larger pack as your team grows.

2. Billing cycles

Paid plans are billed in advance, either monthly or annually. Annual billing is charged once a year at a discount to the equivalent monthly price. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each cycle until you cancel. Payments are handled by our payment processor; card details never touch our servers.

3. Upgrades and downgrades

You can change plans at any time from your billing settings.

• Upgrading (for example Personal to Business, or to a larger pack) takes effect as soon as the payment for the new plan succeeds.
• Downgrading or cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep the features of your current plan until then - we do not cut a paid period short.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period - you are not charged again after that. Your account then moves to the Free plan. Your completed documents and their audit trails remain accessible; nothing you have already signed is taken away from you.

5. Refunds

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, because access is granted immediately. That said, we would rather be fair than technical about it. We will refund you in full where:

• You were charged after you cancelled.
• You were charged twice, or charged the wrong amount.
• A fault on our side prevented you from using the service for a significant part of the period you paid for.

If you subscribed by mistake - for example you paid for an annual plan meaning to choose monthly - contact us within 14 days of the charge and, provided the plan has not been meaningfully used, we will reverse or adjust it.

To request a refund, email info@lucidsigning.com from the address on your account with the date and amount of the charge. We respond within one business day.

6. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once processed on our side, the time it takes to reflect depends on your bank - typically five to ten business days.

7. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we retry it and let you know so you can update your card. If payment cannot be collected, your account moves to the Free plan rather than being locked - your documents and audit trails stay accessible, and you can upgrade again whenever you are ready.

8. Price changes

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before the new price applies to you, and it will only apply from your next billing cycle - a period you have already paid for is never repriced. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before the next cycle and you will not be charged it.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002. Where the law gives you a stronger right than this policy does, the law wins.
